THE STORY BEHIND #IWROTETHIS
When I bought my house in 2019, financed wholly by my writing, I walked inside and said, “Holy crap, I wrote this.”
I still feel that way. I’ve traveled to places that have been on my bucket list forever. I did a cross country trip with my son. We saw Yellowstone. Joshua Tree. The Grand Canyon (that’s him at the right at the Grand Canyon).
Every time I realize that I get to live my dream, do the things I’ve always wanted, all fueled by my writing, I keep saying it. I wrote this. I wrote this life. Everything I do today is a result of what I wrote.
I want the same for you. Freedom. Joy. Living your dream.

WHAT’S YOUR DREAM LIFE?
When I was a teenager, I wrote my first book. Then another one and another one. I started writing by hand, then switched to a typewriter. It was my dream to become a writer…but life got in the way. Life, in the form of people who told me being an author was a pipe dream, that I would never make it. And I believed them… I still wrote, but it was “only a hobby”, because it could never be more, right?
It took me a long, long time to drown out the no-voices, to realize that I could do it. To find the courage inside me to forge my own path and create the life I’d always wanted. It didn’t come easy. It was hard work, and it still is. But it was so worth it.
I’m living my dream: writing full time, doing what I love, spending time with my son, traveling to all the places I always wanted to go to (all the pics below are my own…), and being happy.
What’s your dream life…and how hard are you willing to work to realize it?
